The Wild Olive Luxury Guest House in Newlands extends a warm welcome to business and leisure guests alike and prides itself on offering a personal service and a home from home tailored to your needs. We are situated under Table Mountain in the leafy suburb of Newlands close to the business areas of Cape Town and within walking distance of Newlands Cricket and Rugby stadiums for all those national and international games and Kelvin Grove for your celebration or function. The Sports Science Institute, Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens, the University of Cape Town (UCT) are close by. Cape Town International Airport, glorious sandy beaches, the famous V&A Waterfront, Convention Centre (CTICC) and the Green Point football stadium are all within a 20 min car journey. The Wild Olive is also close to many of Cape Town's leading hospitals and schools.

Besides a well-stocked Honesty Bar we offer mouth-watering home cooked evening meals so you don't have to worry about going out, but if you do want a night on the town then all the nightlife and excellent restaurants of Cape Town are nearby. We offer a range of business services for those needing to attend to business matters and the lush enclosed garden offers privacy and serenity to our guests where you can unwind, relax and enjoy the swimming pool, a drink or a South African Braai (BBQ).

Our bed-and-breakfast accommodation rates include a sumptuous cooked breakfast and a continental buffet with home baked muffins. All served with plenty of fresh brewed coffee or tea to get you on your way!

The seven metre salt water swimming pool is perfect for cooling off in the summer months after a hard day at work or taking in the many sights that Cape Town has to offer. Our younger guests have not been forgotten as the rounded shallow end is ideal for the less confident with supervision.

The Wild Olive is fully licensed and operates an Honesty Bar adjacent to its lounge. It is fully stocked with spirits, beers, mixers, cool drinks and South African wine. A 42” TV makes it worthwhile enjoying a drink watching your favourite sports channel or just move to the fire place next door during long winter evenings.

The Wild Olive lounge is the perfect meeting place to have a drink before you take to the town for the evening, to sit and relax with the complimentary daily or evening Cape Town Newspapers, a good book or plan your next excursion. Perhaps you have friends or family who live locally then why not invite them to come and meet you here.

The whole of the Wild Olive has Wifi internet access. If you did not bring your laptop and want to go on-line then a Windows Tablet will be provided to give you that access. Documents or itineraries can be printed via the network. In-coming and out-going fax service is also available along with basic photocopying.

The Wild Olive has 9 spacious en-suite rooms that have been tastefully decorated with warm earthy colours that give you the feeling of the comforts of home. Each room has its own characteristics that often give rise to regular travellers to the Wild Olive asking for their favourite room. While the rooms may look different they are all furnished to the same high standard. We have a room for all occasions, family room´s honeymoon suite, self-catering, kings, queen, singles and rooms with disabled access.

Whatever type of room you book you will be sleeping on a comfortable spacious bed with finest cotton bedding with a warm duvet. An air conditioning will keep you cool in the summer and along with your electric blanket warm in the winter months.
