Big Tree Guest House and Bed and Breakfast is situated in the heart of Brits and close to all amenities. Only 600m from the new Brits Regional Hospital, the town centre is within walking distance and Pretoria and Johannesburg only an hours drive away. The beautiful Hartbeespoort Dam and all its amenities only 20 minutes away. Wedding venues in and around Brits only a short drive, and easy to reach. We welcome all our guests to our tranquil garden with a peaceful morning birdsong wake-up. All four rooms are beautifully decorated and en-suite with bar fridge, microwave oven, coffee- and tea- making facilities. DSTV is available in each room. Family rooms and double rooms are on offer with safe parking for all. A full course breakfast is served daily, lunch-packs for the day, and a full course dinner after a long day all on request in our tastefully decorated homely dining-room.Big Tree Guesthouse was established in 2013, by the owners Sarel and Mariaan Barnard.

The guest house is only 20 minutes from Hartebeespoort with all the tourist attractions it has to offer. The Aerial cableway in "Harties" takes you to what is known as the cleanest air in South Africa on top of the mountain overlooking the exquisite valley below.
Pretoria and Johannesburg are only an hour away. Ann van Dyk's Cheetah Centre, one of the greatest success stories in the conservation of Africa's cheetahs with ambassadors for the centre and wild dogs to name but a few of the highlights. Guests can also spend the day at 'Tant Malie se Winkel', browsing for delicious home-made treats, or stop for a cup of coffee.
Stop at the numerous art galleries, featuring great South African artists nestled in foothills of our beautiful and diverse koppies! Or feed and walk with the Elephants at the Elephant Sanctuary, or visit the Monkey Sanctuary perhaps even visit the Lions at Ukhutula Lion Sanctuary.
